  • The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 is being hosted in England & Wales in June and July this year!

To share excitement for the tournament and raise the profile of women’s cricket, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) invites schools around England and Wales to take part in a Schools Cricket Day on 23rd April, 2026*.

We want to embed cricket across the curriculum that day, allowing children to participate in cricket activities, learn about the tournament and inspire a love of the game. These activities could be anything cricket related, serving up a cricket tea, delivering an inspirational assembly or playing a game with classmates.

There are loads of ways to get involved and schools will be provided with a range of exciting digital resources to support with delivery on the day.

This is going to be an unmissable event so please register your school via the form below. Early registrants will receive exclusive resources and be in with the chance of accessing money-can’t-buy experiences to make the day even more memorable!

Your details will be shared with local delivery partners who will be on hand to support you with the Schools Cricket Day, and additional resources will also be shared with you soon, so keep an eye out for those.

    * We'd love to see your cricket activity taking place on Schools Cricket Day, however it can take place as close to 23 April as possible, if another date is more convenient.

  • (Your school's URN number can be found here)

Please note: when using the search functionality, please check "Include open schools only" to avoid an out of date URN being selected

  • The ECB is working together with charity partners and local Recreational Cricket Boards to provide a variety of support and offers to schools, teachers and students as part of School Cricket Day.

A wide range of exciting digital resources will be provided to schools to support with delivery on the day, including lesson plans, activity cards and learning resources, so that as many children as possible can take part in cricket activities and get excited for the world cup!

Where possible, and subject to local availability, a cricket coach will be deployed to support cricket delivery in schools, where requested.
